Lish DeVillier was born in rural Illinois and spent the early years of life under the volatile eye of her paranoid schizophrenic father. Her formative years in Massachusetts were fraught with “normalized chaos” as a result of living through her father’s psychotic break, and were only survived with the combined efforts of her mother, grandmother, and psychiatry. 

In addition to the personal traumas she experienced in childhood and throughout her adolescence, Lish was diagnosed with severe endometriosis 🎗️ at the age of 22 and then Ehlers Danlos Syndrome 🦓 at 27. She has had 5 laparoscopic surgeries, two lymph node biopsies, and one hysterectomy (it would be more concerning if she had had TWO hysterectomies…). As if that weren’t enough, she also suffers from complex migraines and seizures and has peed her pants in public on more than one occasion. 

Somehow through all of this the gods saw fit to give Lish a sense of humor about her trials and tribulations. She has perfected the art of taking the things about the world that break us and turning it into art that unifies us. Her energy alone is enough to ask yourself, what is powering this woman? Lish will light up a room, engaging everyone in the conversation and curating the energy your event needs, whether it’s fundraising or emceeing. With over a decade of comedy and improv experience, as well as working live events as a promotional model, Lish will elevate any event with acuity, poise, and humor.
